Economy
This is one of the more exciting aspects of camp, and it goes far to create authenticity and atmosphere at Camp Carathir. Everyone starts camp with a small bag of coins and the exact same clothing and amenities. From the first hour, you'll be participating in the camp economy, whether you know it or not.
What doesn't cost gold (aka:what's free?) 3 meals a day, as well as water, bathroom, laundry, and other services. In addition, when you arrive, your starting clothes, a canteen, toiletries, a backpack or bindle, and other essentials are also included. You'll also receive a coin pouch with some starting funds in it.
Making Money:
Spending Money: Some useful things you may want to buy: Nicer clothing, better weapons, food (snacks between meals), drinks at the tavern, jewelery, drinking goblet, utensils, hats, shields, arrows, maps, books, instruments, house decorations, tools, trade supplies for your profession, and much more. You can also use money to buy more abstract things like information, bribes, bodyguard or mercenary assistance, loans, or commissions.
Vendors: The Quartermaster Quarters, Armory, and Rosie’s Tavern have large inventories of items that are purchasable. Rosie has mostly food and drinks, whereas the Quartermaster is more of a general store, with profession supplies, clothing and other gear. The Armory sells weapons, armor and survival supplies.
Bank: We do have a bank in camp, where you may store your wealth in a lock box. Coins also get heavy, so you can come turn in a pile of lesser coins for a few higher denomination coins. The great thing about the bank is that money collects interest daily during your stay at Camp Carathir, encouraging you to invest it and not haul around 10 pounds of metal in your coin purse.
